DEPARTMENT:  Hatchery

JOB SUMMARY: The Hatchery Technician I will assist in general operational activities at the various Hatchery facilities and will perform job duties and responsibilities per established facility bio-security and safety protocols, fish rearing and fish health best practices, facility operational guidelines and workplace policies; and performs duties as they relate to U.S. v Washington and to the harvesting, processing, or transporting fish harvested in the exercise of treaty fishing rights.

COMPENSATION:  $20.00hr.

MINIMUM REQUIRED EDUCATION

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• Vocational training related to maintenance and/or Hatchery related operations preferred
   

MINIMUM RELATED EXPERIENCE

• Experience working in a maintenance field preferred.
• Experience working in a fish hatchery or fisheries related environment preferred.

REQUIRED LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS/PREREQUISITES

• WA State Driver License.
• Must adhere to the Motor Vehicle Regulations. (Abstract Required)
• Must complete an Agility exam to determine if physically capable of performing the job.
• Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a pre-employment background check.

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:  This is a regular Full-Time position.
