DEPARTMENT: Behavioral Health

JOB SUMMARY: The Adult Mental Wellness Associate Therapist is an entry level position working under the direct supervision of the Clinical Supervisor, providing culturally competent mental health counseling services to members of the Tulalip community. This role delivers individual and group counseling using a strength-based, empowerment-focused approach that supports healing, honors cultural values, and promotes overall mental wellness.

COMPENSATION:  $33.27 hr. *Applicant may be offered more depending on experience.

MINIMUM REQUIRED EDUCATION

• Master's Degree in Psychology, Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Counseling, or related field with a focus on mental health counseling.

MINIMUM RELATED EXPERIENCE

• Six (6) months of experience related in providing mental health counseling services to adults, couples, and families.
• Experience working with Native American/Alaskan Native populations preferred.
• Experience working with people experiencing crisis preferred

REQUIRED LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS/PREREQUISITES

• WA State Driver License. (Personal Auto Insurance)
• Associate Mental Health Counselor License. *Will allow two (2) years to obtain full licensure.
• CPR/BLS certificate.
• Negative TB Skin Test or chest x-ray.
• HIPAA certification upon hire.
• Must abide by departments vaccination policy and will need to provide immunization records.
• Must complete a Tulalip Health System pre-onboarding credentialing prior to start date.
• Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a pre-employment background check.

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:  This is a Contracted position.
