DEPARTMENT: Patient Care

JOB SUMMARY: Under the direction of the Patient Intake Specialist Lead, maintains all Indian Health Services registration files within EPIC, collects all patient personal and insurance information upon visit and maintain flows of all clinics. Serves as Clinic Receptionist. Maintains schedules for medical, dental, behavioral health, complimentary medicine, vision clinic, podiatry clinic, pharmacy team, diabetes team, and specialty clinics. Answers multi-line phones. Collects registration documents per Indian Health Services guidelines. Contact with Tribal community, which may involve interactions with children, adults and vulnerable populations.

COMPENSATION:  $21.43 hr.

MINIMUM REQUIRED EDUCATION

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.

MINIMUM RELATED EXPERIENCE

• One (1) year experience working with HIPAA and confidentiality issues.
• One (1) year experience with answering a multi-line phone system.
• One (1) year experience with cash handling and receipt of payments.
• One (1) year experience with Behavioral Health, Medical, and or Dental Scheduling.

SKILLS TESTING

• Typing 25 wpm

REQUIRED LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS/PREREQUISITES

• CPR/First Aid Certificate. 
• Negative TB Skin Test or chest x-ray. 
• HIPAA certification upon hire
• Must abide by the Department's vaccination policy
• Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a pre-employment background check.

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:  This is a regular full-time position.
