Tribal Department: Tulalip Utilities

Job Summary: The Wastewater Technician I primary function of this position is to serve as utility systems technician for all wastewater systems for the Tulalip Tribes Utility Department. Perform tasks, primarily in wastewater system operations, plumbing & collection systems.
 

Compensation:  $21.43 hr.

Minimum Required Education

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.

Minimum Related Experience

• Two (2) years of experience with general construction tools and equipment
• Six (6) months experience performing wastewater and/or water maintenance, repair, and installation duties at a water treatment facility

Required Licenses/Certifications/Prerequisites

• WA State Driver’s License.
• Must adhere to the Motor Vehicle Regulations. (Abstract Required)
• Class A CDL with Tanker Endorsement *Will allow (6) months to obtain.
• Technician must be certified in and maintain Wastewater Treatment Plant Operator I Certification with WA DOE. *Will allow one (1) year to obtain.
• Must obtain flagger certification. *Will allow (6) months to obtain.
• Must maintain current CPR and First Aid Certification *Will allow (3) months to obtain.
• Must pass an Agility Exam to determine if physically capable of performing job duties.
• Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a pre-employment background check.

Terms of Employment:  This is a regular full-time position.
